Semakin banyaknya pengguna media sosial, membuat operasi perekrutan jaringan terorisme semakin mudah, jaringan ini memanfaatkan media sosial sebagai cara agar banyak orang yang percaya dan masuk kedalam kelompok terorisme dengan berbagai tipu daya. Banyaknya website yang sengaja dibuat kelompok terorisme ini, patut kita waspadai, kenali, dan ketahui tahapan maupun pola perekrutannya, berikut tahapannya :
1. Tahapan pertama "Menggunakan media sosial"
Menggunakan media sosial untuk menyebarkan paham radikal, isu dan gosip yang menumbuhkan rasa kebencian dan membumbui dengan rasa simpati untuk berjuang bersama mereka. Media online yang digunakan seperti Website, Facebook, Instagram dan Radio online lainnya.
2. Tahapan kedua "Chat Pribadi”
Terhadap orang yang merespon postingan dan yang tertarik, akan diajak berkomunikasi secara pribadi melalui chat room, forum dan media interaktif lainnya secara intens, yang mana membuat lawan bicaranya benar-benar yakin dan percaya ingin bergabung.
3. Tahapan ketiga "Bertemu"
Tahapan ini dimana mereka yang sudah yakin akan di undang bertemu secara langsung dan di ajak bergabung di dalam komunitas kecil yang lebih intensef, guna untuk memantapkan diri dengan kelompok-kelompok mereka.
4. Tahapan keempat "Proses Pembinaan"
Tahapan ini merupakan tahapan pembinaan dan latihan agar mereka yang terjaring terlatih dan siap dalam menjalankan aksi terorisme.
Melihat hal-hal di atas, maka dari itu kita perlu waspada terhadap penyebaran paham radikal di dunia maya. Apabila kita menemui hal-halndi atas, segeralah putuskan komunikasi, apalagi karena target terorisme ini tidak mengenal usia, perempuan atau laki-laki, tapi mereka lebih memanfaatkan orang yang mudah dipengaruhi.
